BioMarin's Galli III Facility is a 10,300 sf renovation of the third, and top floor of their Marin County clinical manufacturing facility. Built in two tandem phases over a two-year span, the full floor renovation and build-out included substantial structural strengthening for heavy bin, tank, and equipment loading and installation. A portion of the existing roof was raised to allow highbay space for cell culture and media prep.
The project included installation of new HVAC systems to accommodate classified clean spaces and airlocks for manufacturing, a seed lab, waste disposal, and segregated cold rooms. A glasswash suite was added in the final phase along with associated storage, service, and gowning rooms.
